Join us at The Empty Corner to learn the basics of printmaking with Mine from Blue Fern Ceramics! This workshop will introduce you to the art of linoleum carving- a printmaking technique that is easily customizable and tons of fun! Linoleum printmaking involves carving a soft rubber surface with your design of choice and coating it in paint. Once you press down on your paper or fabric, you have a print to show off and replicate as often as you’d like!
All participants will create and carve out one to two of their own prints, with patterns and stencils available if desired. A linoleum block, paint (including fabric paint), and paper will be provided, and all participants will receive a kit filled with their own printmaking tools to bring home to practice! Included in this kit will be a linoleum carving tool, a printmaking brayer, and any linoleum left over from the event.
We invite you to bring your own wrapping paper, tags, or clothes to decorate as well! The possibilities are endless- make a cute tote bag or card for you and your friends!
Tickets are $50, and the event is BYOB.
