Say “Hi!” to Max and Malena Lindberg!

Last week our friend Max was hit by a car while his Mom was trying to load his wheelchair into her car in a handicapped spot. Max has had plenty of battles living life with cerebral palsy and epilepsy- and he shouldn’t have to battle cars too.

Not everyone sees Max, but when people do, a lot of people stare and only see his differences. Max’s big sister Malena is an amazing advocate for her brother, and wrote a book to change the focus of those stares. By encouraging others to say “Hi Max”, Malena is making the world a more empathetic and living place, one conversation at a time.

We are so proud and excited to announce this book reading with Malena at The Empty Corner, which will be taking place on Friday, September 16th at 7pm. Bring your kids to hear Malena talk about her book and meet Max! Tickets are $10 and ALL proceeds will benefit the Make a Wish Foundation!
